DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Due to heightened Security at the Cruise Terminal, passengers should allow additional time
for passenger check in procedures.

From Harborside Drive (State Highway 275):

• I-45 South to Exit 1C - Harborside Dr. (Hwy 275)
• First Exit after Causeway. Turn Left (North) on to Harborside Drive
• Continue Approximately 4.7 Miles to Kempner/22nd Street
• Turn Left on Kempner/22nd Street to Cruise Terminal

From Broadway (Interstate 45):

• Interstate 45 becomes Broadway
• Straight (East) on Broadway
• Turn Left on Kempner/22nd Street to Cruise Terminal (9 City Blocks)

From State Highway 87 - West to Galveston Island Using

PARKING AT THE PORT OF GALVESTON

For safety, security and passenger convenience proceed directly to The Texas Cruise Ship Terminals on Galveston Island® (Terminal No. 1 and Terminal No. 2) to drop off passengers and baggage. Porters will assist you with your baggage and Police Officers will direct the driver to the appropriate parking lot for that day. All Official Port of Galveston Parking Lots are marked with the Port of Galveston logo and are secure and patrolled 24 hours per day by the Port of Galveston Police Department.

Vehicle Ferry System

• Exit Ferry on to Ferry Road
• Continue Ferry Road to Harborside Drive
• Turn Right (West) on Harborside Drive
• Continue Approximately (20 City Blocks)
• Turn Right on Kempner/22nd Street to Cruise Terminal

Transportation from Official Port of Galveston Parking Lots to the Cruise Terminal is provided by Free Shuttle Buses. Buses do not have Provisions to Handle Baggage and Luggage.

Cash, Travelers Checks and Credit Cards (Visa and MasterCard) are accepted at Port of Galveston Official Parking Lots.

PROXIMITY OF AIRPORTS AT THE PORT OF GALVESTON

Two major airports serve the Port of Galveston

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
Approximately 65 miles from Galveston Island

Houston Hobby International Airport (HOU)
Approximately 45 miles from Galveston Island.

Note: The above charges for parking apply to vehicles occupying a single standard car parking space. Vehicles, such as buses or large campers, occupying two or more parking spaces will be charged double the above rates.

We recommend that if you are booking your flights to your cruise from Galveston, that you consider arriving a day or two early so that you can take advantage of the local attractions as well as avoiding potential flight delays, baggage collection and transfer problems that could occur.

If you are arriving the same day as your cruise departs, please schedule your flights to arrive at HOU no later than 1:30 pm on the day of the sailing or at IAH no later than 1:00.

If this is not possible, you will need to come in a day early. For return flights, do not schedule any flights departing earlier than 12:00 from either HOU or IAH.
